Off-grid hot water, a first cob project for your piece of land.

This is a cob hot tub by Paulina of Earth Hands and Houses. It was built just outside her tiny straw bale cottage (below) in Poland, not far from Warsaw.

Cob hot tubs were popularised by Becky Bee who wrote the book, "The Best Hot Tub Ever".

If you have land to build a home it's a good idea to camp out on the land under different weather conditions and seasons to understand how the wind blows, where the mist gathers and puddles form. Building a cob hot tub brings a welcome taste of luxury to the camping experience and helps you understand the nature of the clay and soils on your land. It also helps to extend the building season as Becky explains in the video (button in picture right).
