The bits of wood a conventional
builder might reject are the bits a natural builder uses to
give character to a building.
This playhouse was built for a school in Lincoln, England by
Jason Hadley. The windows and door are hand made from oak,
the cladding is Scots Pine local milled. The timber for the
rest of the tiny little house was grown and cut locally
including the willow for the reciprocal roof. It took Jason
about 120 hours to build and it took the kids about 12 seconds
to fall in love with it. |
