A journey back to a mid 17th century English village.

Little Woodham is a re-creation of how an English village looked in the mid 17th century. The village consists of more than a dozen authentic natural buildings ranging from a fisherman's shelter to an Ale House and a Blacksmith's forge to an Apothecary's shop. On its open days local volunteers dress in period costume and live out life as it was then, tending herbs and vegetables in the cottage gardens and practising a wide variety of period crafts.

These include wood crafts, lace-making, wool carding and spinning, cooking, medicine preparation, butter making and maypole dancing which you can watch in the video above.
