This is the cobbled Rue de Petit Fort in the medieval town of
Dinan, France. The lane is lined with stone and half-timbered 14th
to 16th century homes. It is an impressive example of conservation connecting the old town to the picturesque River Rance. The people who built these timber homes were highly
skilled journeymen from all over Europe. These skills are kept
alive by today's journeymen like
Axel Weller.
