No.1 Charlie's House
With over 86,000 LIKEs, Charlie's house (above) out guns its nearest
rival by over 66,000 LIKEs. More than any other house it was
Charlie's work that captured your imagination and support. It was
the two month death sentence issued by a planning inspector that
outraged you all when he said, "the benefits of the development
did not outweigh the harm to the character and appearance of the
countryside". You disagreed and supported Charlie's
petition to save his house with over 61,000 votes. Happily
Charlie and family are still living in their globally loved home
and he is hopeful the council can be persuaded to let them live
there.

not that far back. In order to go forward we have to go

No.5 Cob in Somerset, England
This beautiful tiny home with sculpted cob walls
looks out over the banks of a small stream in Somerset, England.
17,000+ LIKEs took it to No.5. It was built by Lisa and Rich who
are known at festivals in the UK as the Goatlings.
With all the terrible weather all over the globe
this little cottage was nearly lost when the river that runs past
it burst its banks. Luckily the stone stem wall was just high
enough to protect the cob and straw bale walls.
