This is a bit of Swedish escapism. It's one of six cabins by
Urnatur an
eco-hotel by Lake Vattern. It's marketed as an escape from the
city, which makes you wonder, why not just live like this in
the first place. It has a very good 'Connection to the Earth',
pattern No.168 from
A Pattern Language. The moisture barrier
is traditionally made using birch bark. A green roof like this
will last about 40 to 50 years.
